Your gift to the Broomfield Community Foundation allows you to support the causes you care about most and make a difference in our community. Giving to the foundation is flexible: you can donate to an existing fund or to a broad program area that addresses a specific community issue. You can also choose to make a donation that meets the area of greatest need. No matter which option you select, be assured that your dollars will be used exactly as you direct them. In addition, the Broomfield Community Foundation is a tax-exempt IRC 501(c)(3) organization (84-1246756) and most often donations are fully tax deductible. Thank you for your generosity.

Special purpose / field of interest funds
Broomfield Buddies exists to support social emotional learning and mental health of children and youth in Broomfield through all schools.
This Field of Interest Fund addresses our local housing crisis and will provide grants to local service providers such as Broomfield FISH, Flatirons Habitat for Humanity, and others who are working on solutions and serving local residents in need. Local experts from nonprofits and government agencies, alike, agree that affordable housing is the single biggest challenge facing our community.
The Humanitarian Fund is designed to provide financial resources to those individuals and families displaced from their country of origin due to military conflict, natural disaster, persecution, or other qualified reasons, who have settled in Broomfield. Due to significant global conflicts, natural disasters, and extreme unrest, there has been an increase in the displacement of individuals from their home of origin to Broomfield. These families have connections to Broomfield residents either as family members or they served alongside our military members who live in Broomfield and need to be close to their family, co-sponsors, and/or cultural mentors.
Established by Dan and Jacquentte "Jax" Jaramillo, the Daniel the Lion fund is designed to support families at all stages of their healing journeys due to the treatment or loss of a young child.
This fund is only used in the case of a community disaster, and throughout 2020-21, funds were designated for Relief and Recovery efforts of the COVID-19 crisis. 100% of funds raised were granted out on a monthly rolling basis to nonprofit organizations who are directly serving Broomfield residents impacted by the pandemic.
This fund is a vital resource for individuals and families in our community facing urgent and unexpected challenges. When no other assistance is available, this fund provides immediate relief for essential needs—whether it’s a night’s stay in a motel for someone experiencing a crisis, food to sustain a family until their next paycheck, or gas money to ensure a parent can get to work earning their paycheck.
Individuals receiving support from this fund are referred directly by local nonprofit organizations recognizing their urgent needs. Contribution to this fund directly supports neighbors in their most vulnerable moments, offering stability and hope when needed.
The Youth Opportunities Fund supports initiatives that empower and engage young individuals in our community. Donations to this long-term fund will go toward financial assistance grants to clubs and organizations that create and implement programming, projects, or events that contribute to the holistic growth and enrichment of young people aged 10-14, currently attending middle school at a Broomfield school or living in Broomfield. Selected programs will receive financial support to cover a portion or the entirety of the activity fees for underserved youth.
Workforce Community Champion Fund
The Workforce Champion Fund is designed to support career development needs in the Broomfield community when no other funding source is available. In November of 2022, the Broomfield Workforce Center unexpectedly lost a Workforce Champion, Lynnelle Mundt. Lynnelle provided 21 years of dedicated service to the residents of the City and County of Broomfield. The Workforce Champion Fund will continue Lynnelle’s legacy by ensuring that those in need have access to resources to further their career development.
